Mr. Jaume Torres is an entrepreneur in the alternative finance sector, in love with technology, art and music, who was born in 1974 in Barcelona to a long line of merchants, and came of age in 1992 at the height of the celebration of the best Olympic Games in history. An economist by training, an entrepreneur by vocation and a nomad by default, he has lived in Switzerland for years. An art collector, he also has more than 25 years of experience in multiple businesses, dedicating himself to promoting initiatives in different countries, mainly in Europe and Africa. As an expert in topics related to the interface between economics, technology, art, (financial market) regulations and the market itself, he helps his clients design, implement and capitalize structures primarily to achieve their objectives. In 2012 he launched an opportunistic investment fund dedicated to real estate exclusively in Barcelona taking advantage of the Spanish real estate crisis. In 2013, he launched his first fund dedicated to American modern art, Day Star Fine Art Fund, being one of the first two regulated funds (AIF) in this sector in Europe together with Tirosche de Leon, reaching a capitalization close to 100 million euros and sold in 2016 to a European banking family office. In 2017, he launched his first private crypto fund dedicated to BTC repos, reaching more than 1000% profitability in just a few months. He currently combines management of The Embassy of Art and Kryptos Industries with consultancy and participation in various boards of directors as an independent.
